What You Should Know About Horror Films

What You Should Know About Horror FilmsIf you've read my research paper for the class I taught a few years ago, you know that I've never written horror movie reviews. There are a number of reasons for this, but one of the main ones is that the subject is so incredibly scary that my brain shuts down. I don't have the same sensitivity for situations like horror movies. But it doesn't mean that I can't provide some information. So here's the research paper for Halloween: A Horror Film. I researched the movie based on a review I read a while back. It's fun to read, and it gives you a good idea of what to expect. Like the movie, this is a horror movie, but it's a little different. Although the plot is the same, it has enough differences that make it unique. The characters fight off their horror and terror through ritual, ritualized actions, and the destruction of everything they think they need to survive. It's a small film, about the size of a feature-length picture, so it works well to sh ow what you'd see if you watched it. But it also reminds us why there are scary movies in the first place. There's a scene where people watch a victim on the news before they are killed. They learn what they need to know before their loved ones die. This is obviously a main theme of the film. It's a fact of life that everyone in the world will have to die at some point, so we want to prepare ourselves to take care of ourselves. The killer woman appears to be a psychic who needs your body. When she discovers that she has the ability to communicate with others, she wants to discover the secrets of the killer's bloodline. She makes her presence known, claiming to be his daughter. As she digs for these secrets, she threatens to destroy her own people unless she gets what she wants.Scenes from the film are included in the paper. Here's one where the killer says something creepy to her before she kills the family. And one where she reveals the final secret to her.So here's my Halloween: A H orror Film research paper. Hopefully you enjoyed it and learned something from it. Next week, I'll look at movies as a whole.
